During January 23-24 Bolagsverket was host for an international XBRL-conference in Sundsvall, Sweden. It was the second year this XBRL conference of the European Companies Register Forum was held (last year in Amsterdam). The European Companies Register Forum is made of Companies Register Authorities in Europe.
XBRL stands for eXtensible Business Reporting Language. XBRL is an electronic format for simplifying the flow of financial statements, performance reports, accounting records, and other internal and external financial information between software programs.
The two days conference was attended by over 60 people from 20 countries. The purpose of the conference was to inform what is going on with the XBRL-work in the different countries.
The key-speaker was Mr Olivier Servais, Director XBRL Europe, who informed about What's going on with XBRL in Europe and in the rest of the world.
Over the last years there has been a growing interest in Sweden for XBRL.
